X's Jarvis wins American Association honor

The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has selected Wichita INF CJ Ziegler and Sioux City RHP Jason Jarvis as this week's Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.

Jarvis hurled a pair of complete game shutouts this week. The Arizona State product allowed seven hits in each start, defeating Fargo-Moorhead 6-0 and Wichita 5-0. The wins helped Jarvis improve to 4-3 on the season with an ERA of 2.56.

Ziegler had a very productive week at the plate for the Wingnuts. He hit three home runs and drove in 17 runs against Amarillo and Sioux City. Ziegler delivered his best performance in the first game of the Sioux City series. The infielder had four hits and knocked in four in a win over the X's.
