Siouxland business leaders "teed" off in Chamber Golf Classic - KTIV News 4 Sioux City IA: News, Weather and Sports

Siouxland Chamber members and friends "teed" off at the Sioux City Country Club and Whispering Creek Golf Club for the Siouxland Chamber Golf Classic.

Organizers say it's a great way for community business members to get to know each other better.

"It's all about bringing the business community together. It's an opportunity for the Chamber of Commerce and thank our business community for all that they do for all they do in the tri-state area and it's also an opportunity for the members of the business community to network with one another, get to know one each other," Chris McGowan, Siouxland Chamber President said.

"The chamber is always there. The contacts that you can meet from the chamber. Their the group that pulls everyone together. Especially last year with the flooding and everything with that. Just to have them there, as the backbone of the community,"Shawn Cote, a Sam's Club Manager said.

This is the 20th year for the golf classic and it was sponsored by Sam's Club.
