SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The 2012 Big Parade will feature former KTIV news anchor Larry Wentz as this year's Grand Marshal.
Wentz came in Sioux City in 1990, and worked at KTIV for eight years, before continuing his career at KMEG and KCAU.
Wentz continues to recover from a liver transplant, in March, which followed a bout with auto-immune hepatitis.
Wentz, and his wife, Lola, will lead the Big Parade on Friday, July 6th. The Big Parade will begin at 6:45pm, and will be broadcast on KTIV starting at 7:00pm.
The Parade will start at the Tyson Events Center, head north on Pearl Street, then turn east on Fourth Street until it ends at Iowa Street.
The evening will conclude with live Zydeco music from CJ Chenier & The Red Hot Louisiana Band, performing from a stage in the Convention Center parking lot, followed by fireworks at dusk.
The entire event is FREE to the public.
