Jon Weber celebrate following his homer against Sioux City.
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (KTIV) -- -
The Sioux City Explorers gave up four home runs, the most given up by the team all season, falling 7-2 to Winnipeg Wednesday night.
With the win, the Goldeyes sweep the three game series.
Winnipeg's bats picked up where they left off Tuesday and continued to stay hot, as Chris Roberson opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning. That was followed up by an RBI double by Gabriel Martinez to give the Goldeyes a 2-0 lead.
X's pitcher Andrew Snowdon continued to struggle in the second, giving up three more runs as Winnipeg jumped out a 5-0 lead.
In the fifth inning Sioux City got on the board courtesy of Ryan Priddy.
Priddy blasted Tony Butler's offering off the center field wall, allowing Mike Bisenius to score.
Down 6-1 in the seventh, Priddy drove in Bisenius for the second time in the game to pull Sioux City within 6-2. Priddy finished 2-for-4 on the day.
But, the Goldeyes answered with a run of their own in the home of the inning.
With the loss the X's fall to 18-23 on the season. They'll have an off day Thursday, before beginning a six game homestand Friday against El Paso.
