Pivotal decision regarding healthcare reform expected Thursday

The Supreme Court is set to rule on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act Thursday morning. The crux of the lawsuit involves 26 states, and the individual mandate. The mandate requires individuals to buy health insurance by the government. Popular aspects of the law include health care coverage of adult dependents up to 26 years-old and protection for individuals with pre-existing conditions.

Bicyclist hurt in crash with truck

A man riding a bike in Sioux City is injured after colliding with a truck. Sioux City police say the bicyclist was riding down the hill on 32nd Street at 9:30 Wednesday night when a truck turned left onto Summit Street and the bicyclist hit the truck. The biker suffered injuries to his head and leg. The truck driver wasn't hurt. Police are still investigating, but say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Food Bank of Siouxland gets big check to help feed hungry

A much needed donation will help a Siouxland organization feed the hungry. Argosy Casino donated $25,000 to the Food Bank of Siouxland Wednesday. The money will be used to buy a truck load of food.
