UPDATE: Window air unit blamed for Sioux City house fire

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A breakdown in the electrical components of a window air conditioning unit is to blame for a Sioux City house fire.

The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at 3102 Leech Avenue.

Fire officials say no one was home at the time of the fire.

Neighbors rescued a dog from the home, however another dog did not survive.
