Star Wars legend visits Siouxland

SIOUX CITY, Iowa -

It's official. June 30th, 2012 will be forever known in Sioux City as "Admiral Motti Day."

The announcement was made at Acme Comics with the real Admiral Motti, Richard Le Parmentier.

If you remember, Admiral Motti was the first character in the Star Wars film "A New Hope" to feel the pinch of Vader's "force choke."

Parmentier says one of the coolest parts of being in the films, becoming an action figure.

Le Parmentier said, "They bring in one Stars Wars guest and they just have a mini convention in the store and in their parking lot. So it's for family and people of all ages."

That convention will be at Acme Comics Saturday where Parmentier will be available for autographs and photos.
