Brian Bistagne scores Sioux City's first run of the game Sunday.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Tied at five heading into the bottom of the 10th inning, Peter Barrows blasted a walk-off home run snapping Sioux City's five game losing streak with a 6-5 walk-off win Sunday night over El Paso.
With the win, the Explorers improve to 19-25 on the season.
Tied at one after five and half innings, Ryan Priddy drove in Brandon Newton with a sacrifice fly to left to give Sioux City a 2-1 lead.
The lead was short lived as the Diablos answered with three in the top of the seventh. The X's countered with two of their own in the bottom of the frame to tie it back up at four.
El Paso countered in the top of the eighth when Patrick Arlis drove in Jonathan Cisneros to give the Diablos a 5-4 lead.
Still down 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth, Mike Bisenius advanced to first on an error by third baseman Reid Fronk. That error would prove costly as Brian Bistagne would double later in the inning, driving in Bisenius to tie the game at five.
The X's had a chance to win the game in the bottom of the ninth on Yusuke Inoguchi's sacrifice fly, but Kris Sanchez was gunned down at home to send it into extras.
Sioux City has an off day Monday before beginning a four game series against the Gary Southshore RailCats on Tuesday.
