Smart phone app locates Iowa Farmers Markets

DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -

There's a new smart phone app to help you find farmers markets in Iowa. The app is free and is available for both i-Phones and Androids.

It allows users to find the farmers market closest to them, via G-P-S or to search for specific markets by city or zip code.

Once you locate a market, you can view the hours of operation and browse a list of vendors. Users can also leave reviews and upload photos to share with others.

To download the application search "Iowa Farmers Markets" in your smart phone's market.
