SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A grand jury has indicted a Wall Lake, Iowa, couple in connection with four northwest Iowa bank robberies.
47-year-old Jeffrey Schoon, and 40-year-old Roxena Schoon, are charged with conspiracy to commit bank robbery, possession of a firearm, and four counts of bank robbery.
According to court documents, Jeffrey Schoon's stepdaughter told police her stepmother... Roxena, and her father, robbed banks in Odebolt, Early, Vail and Lytton earlier this year.
Specifically, investigators say Jeffrey Schoon robbed the banks while Roxena Schoon drove the getaway car.
In all, authorities say the couple stole about 33 thousand dollars.
Tuesday, Jeffrey Schoon entered a not guilty plea to the charges he faces.
Roxena Schoon will be arraigned July 12th.
