Spirit Lake teen facing burglary, theft charges

A Spirit Lake, Iowa teen faces burglary and theft charges, Tuesday night.

The 17-year-old, who hasn't been identified by police, allegedly burglarized a Spirit Lake home, stole property from a car parked nearby, and stole another car.

Investigators say the crimes happened before six Tuesday morning.

Police, in Denison, Iowa, found the stolen car, with the 17-year-old boy behind the wheel, during a traffic stop at about 8 a.m.
