Transformer problem knocks out power along Gordon Drive

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

The failure of a transformer knocked out power to a handful of businesses, and traffic lights, near downtown Sioux City, Wednesday night.

Shortly before 8:00pm, that transformer failed along Gordon Drive.

Sioux City police had to direct traffic at the affected intersections. Power was also out to Walgreens, Perkins, and another business along Gordon Drive.
