Crews battle grass fire in Dakota Dunes

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. (KTIV) -

Firefighters didn't get a day off on the 4th of July after reports of a grass fire in Dakota Dunes.

Pictures, which were taken by KTIV's morning and noon director Greg Fisher, show fire crews from North Sioux City, trying to knock down the flames.

The fire was first spotted off of Sioux Point Road, not far from Siouxland Urology Associates.

Fire crews had the flames out within an hour.
