DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -
Iowa's tax collections are growing. New numbers recently released by the Legislative Services Agency show tax collections grew by 5 percent in the budget year that ended last week. That's nearly double the 2-point-6 percent increase projected by a state panel.
Tax collections for the year that ended June 30 totaled more than 6-point-1 billion dollars, up from 5-point-8 billion from last year.
