Blood donors are urged to roll up their sleeves and give

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) -

It's a critical time for blood donors to roll up their sleeves and give.

LifeServe team members say blood supplies have dwindled down and currently donors who are "O", "A" and "B" negative are critically needed.

Donors only give a pint of blood and donations take less than 45 minutes to complete.

Each pint saves three lives.

"We do need the people to step up and actually come and donate. That would be great, we do have a lot of incidents that do occur during the summer so it is very, very important that we have people to come in and impact the blood supply," Melissa Goss, a Team Leader for LifeServe.

You can stop any time to make a donation at 1019 Jones Street in Sioux City.
