SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The last fatal fire, in Sioux City, was more than two-years ago.
On the morning on Jan. 7th, fire broke out inside 1020 South Glass Street.
The frigid temperatures, and high winds, made it tough for firefighters to get a handle on the blaze.
When they knocked down the flames, firefighters found the body of 87-year-old Hedy Zook inside.
In 2009, the city recorded three fatal fires. But, until then, the city had gone eight years without a fire-related death.
