NORFOLK, Neb (KTIV/US92) -
Norfolk fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that burned down a house on Norfolk's east side.
Fire inspector Dan Nelson says firefighters were dispatched to the house on the 200 block of South Second Street just before two Saturday morning.
They encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from several windows of the two-story house.
It took firefighters several hours to contain the blaze, and one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.
The home, owned by J and R Rental of Norfolk, was unoccupied at the time of the fire and is considered a total loss.
