ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTIV) -
With one out in the top of the 10th inning, Mike Bisenius flied out to center field driving in the go-ahead run as Sioux City defeated St. Paul 8-4 in extra-innings Saturday night.
After intentionally walking Wally Backman, Peter Barrows advanced to first on a walk to load the bases.
Down 0-2 in the count after fouling off three straight pitches, Mike Murphy singled home Backman and Ray Serrano to give the X's a 7-4 lead.
Brandon Newton followed that up with a RBI single of his own, driving in Barrows to give Sioux City the 8-4 advantage.
Chris Bodishbaugh struck out Adam Frost and Jose Hernandez and got Willie Cabrera to ground out to third to pick up his third win of the year.
X's pitcher Alain Quijano turned in seven strong innings, before being ejected in between frames.
Sioux City and St. Paul continue their four game series Sunday. First pitch between the Explorers and Saints is set for 1:05 p.m.
