Portable planetarium teaches about stars

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

An "out of this world" attraction had folks "seeing stars", Tuesday night.

At the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, an inflatable mini-planetarium helped teach visitors about the constellations.

The stars shown during the show are the ones that can be seen year-round, like "The Big Dipper."

"Even the stars themselves, that they're balls of gas and they're just wonderful and mysterious things, we really know some about, but not a whole lot. So it's kind of fun to explore that fun mystery of what the night sky is," said Ally Jo Lloyd, summer naturalist intern, Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center.

The portable "star lab" is used indoors, no matter what the night sky does.
