SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
If you've ever wanted to see the artwork of a man who defined the Renaissance now's your chance. Better yet, you don't have to leave Siouxland.
Leonardo da Vinci's inventions and artwork are part of the newest Blockbuster Exhibit at the Sioux City Art Center, starting Saturday, July 14th.
The exhibit includes models of da Vinci's drawings and inventions, as well as life-sized replicas of his most famous art, including the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
The collection includes dozens of inventions, 23 paintings, films, and music.
The hope is da Vinci's creations will inspire us.
"Someone who's got drive, creativity, who's observant, and wants to try to do things to improve the world, each of us can do something on our own scale. Maybe not to this scale, but we can all do something to make things better," said Todd Behrens, Curator of the Sioux City Art Center.
A general admission fee of $10 will be charged while exhibits on the first and second floors remain free.
The exhibit continues through October 14th.
