SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KTIV) -
After weeks without rain, some in Siouxland finally got a little wet.
The dark clouds opened up over parts of Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff Saturday afternoon, marking the first time in two weeks that we've seen significant rainfall.
Sioux Gateway Airport collected nearly half an inch. Some streets in the Morningside neighborhood were given a thorough soaking. Out by the Southern Hills Mall, KTIV viewers reported hail.
There are slight chances of rain next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but they aren't expected to do much to help the drought.
