SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Behind seven strong innings from Ty Marotz, Sioux City snapped a two-game losing streak with a 6-1 win over Sioux Falls.
Marotz fanned five while only giving up one run to the Pheasants.
The Explorers one through four hitters combined to go 9-for-17 with five runs scored. Brian Bistagne led the way for the X's finishing 3-for-4 with three runs.
Sioux City scored two in the bottom of the first, and added two more on Kris Sanchez's RBI double two innings later.
The X's tacked on a runs in the fifth and sixth inning with RBI singles from Ray Serrano and Peter Barrows.
Sioux City and Sioux Falls wraps up their four game series Sunday. First pitch is set for 6:05 at Lewis & Clark Park.
