Drew Prohaska and the Bandits captured their second consecutive APFL title Saturday.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Reigning American Professional Football League Most Valuable Player Scott Jensen completed 7-of-10 passes for 80 yards and four touchdowns, leading Sioux City to its second straight APFL Championship with a 56-34 win over Council Bluffs Saturday night.
The win also caps off the Bandits second straight undefeated season (14-0) and pushes their winning streak to 28-games.
Eddie Pertilla hauled in two passes for 37 yards and two scores. Fredrick Bruno and Damon Mothershead also had two receptions in the game, with each recording a touchdown.
Spetlar Tonga led the way for the Bandits recording a game high 19 tackles and four quarterback hurries in Sioux City's win.
Jason Bonwell and Thomas Wells each had two sacks for the Bandits, who didn't allow an opponent to score more than 40 points in a game all season.
The Bandits scored on their first four possessions, taking a 28-6 lead into the half.
Leading 35-13 in the third quarter, James McNear connected with Mike Jones on a 10 yard touchdown to pull within 35-20. But, that'd be the closest Council Bluffs would get to challenging Sioux City.
