Concession stand burns during fire at fairgrounds

STORM LAKE, Iowa (KTIV) -

The concession stand at the Buena Vista County, Iowa fairgrounds burned down overnight Friday.

The sheriff's department says they were called just after 12:30 Saturday morning.

Authorities say an electrical malfunction inside the building caused the fire.

The total loss of the building and its contents is estimated at $80,000.

Several nearby vendors suffered damage to their electrical hook-ups as well.

The county fair was in its third day.
