DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -

A Nebraska man will spend several years behind bars after pleading "no contest" to charges of manslaughter and concealing a death.

Monday, John Baker, 54, told the court he loved his former girlfriend, Kelly Alspach and misses her very much.

Prosecutors say Baker killed Alspach and then wrapped her in a rug, and stuck her in a window seat, and left her in her South Sioux City home last October.

Baker was sentenced to no less than 10 years and no more than 15 years for the manslaughter charge and another year for concealing Alspach's body.

He'll be eligible for parole in five years.
