SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A Sioux City man will spend five years in prison for selling insurance without a license.

40-year-old Douglas Inlay pleaded guilty Monday to insurance fraud and selling insurance without a license.  A judge then sentenced him to a suspended 25 year sentence for commission of a specified unlawful activity.  Woodbury County court documents also say Inlay received a 5 year sentence that was not suspended for selling insurance without a license.  He must serve four years on probation for those convictions after he leaves prison.

Prosecutors say Inlay sold policies and filed claims through his company, Agency One Insurance, from November of 2010 to June of 2011.  The state had revoked his insurance license in November 2010.
