A 21 year-old Norfolk, Nebraska man led Stanton County Sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase early Thursday morning.
Deputies say the chase started just after midnight when Charles Loughman refused to stop for Norfolk police for a traffic violation and he took off on Highway 24. Deputies chased Loughman from Norfolk to just south of Winside, Nebraska. That's when Loughman got out of his car and ran into a field. The chase lasted about 20 minutes before deputies arrested him.
Stanton County deputies took Loughman to the Pierce County jail. He's facing several charges including reckless driving and avoiding arrest.
