Police: 12 dead in Colorado theater shooting

A horrific and tragic shooting early Friday morning in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. Initial reports from police said 14 people are dead and 50 injured following the shooting at a movie theater in Aurora. Police say the gunman opened fire in a theater during a showing of the latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises." Police found the gunman near a car behind the theater and took him into custody. There is no word on a motive.

Emergency crews hold disaster drill on Flight 232 crash anniversary

On the 23rd anniversary of the flight 232 crash at the Sioux Gateway Airport, emergency crews held a disaster drill. Helicopters, victims, and emergency responders simulated a deadly plane crash. These drills are held every three years at the airport which is an FAA regulation.

Ag Experience for kids in Spencer

Kids get a hands-hand lesson in farming. The Spencer Chamber of Commerce held an event called "Ag Experience 2012" for elementary students Thursday. The goal is to get kids interested in becoming farmers. The youngsters got to interact with the animals and learn a little bit about life on the farm.

Lake View, Iowa RAGBRAI ready with "Brake at the Lake"

Just two days now until RAGBRAI rolls and the folks in Lake View, Iowa are getting ready. Lake View is the second overnight stop for the thousands of bicyclists. The town of 12-hundred people is among the smallest ever to host RAGBRAI overnight. They'll get some practice in the meantime: Lake View's water carnival starts today and up to 25-thousand people are expected for that.
