Corn and soybean prices climb to all time highs as drought worsens

Crops in Siouxland are nearing their breaking point pushing cash grain prices to all time highs. Crops in Siouxland are nearing their breaking point pushing cash grain prices to all time highs.
Cherokee, IOWA (KTIV) -

Because of the drought, prices for corn and soybeans hit record highs.

Cash grain corn hit $8.13 a bushel; up 12-cents.

And the cash price for soybeans hit $17.08 per bushel. That's up 24-cents.

These numbers are from the 1st Cooperative Association in Cherokee, Iowa.

Compared to last year on this date, corn was selling for $7.23 and beans were at $13.48 a bushel.
