RockN Rods take to the streets

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

If you drag race in downtown Sioux City, you might get arrested.  But, not at this event.

People lined up near 3rd and Water Street to see some of Siouxland's finest cars burn rubber.

From Barracudas to Chevelles, and about every model in between, car owners had a chance to put their pride and joy to the test for "RockN Rods."

Cars lined up two-by-two for five blocks to rev it up and put on a good show.

"It's absolutely incredible, if you've never been down you need to come check it out cause it's amazing. I don't know anybody else that actually, any cities that actually let it happen. We're very, very fortunate, this is a big event for Sioux City," said Joe Rarrat, event coordinator.

RockN Rods runs all day Saturday with bands at night.
