Texans choose cooled trailers for RAGBRAI adventure

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KTIV) -

Some choose to travel with a little more luxury.  Michael and Cindy Young of Dallas, Texas, are participating in their first RAGBRAI. Their overnight shelters are air-conditioned trailers towed by Porkbelly Ventures.

While the Youngs are out riding, the trailer will move on to the next overnight site. They figured if they were to travel across the Hawkeye State, they should do it in style.

"Made the decision that for us to do RAGBRAI the first time, and enjoy Iowa and enjoy our bike riding, we needed to get a good night's sleep," said Michael Young of Dallas, Texas.

The trailers can hold up to 12 people per night. But the Youngs say, anyone who wants to cool off after a long day of riding, is welcome to stop by.
