Officers have arrested a 33-year-old Sioux City man who accidentally shot a woman. Ronald Barrett was arrested about 3 a.m. Monday and faces charges of reckless use of a firearm and discharging a gun in city limits. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of a leg wound. Police say Barrett told officers that he thought the gun wasn't loaded. Investigators say alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. It's unclear whether Barrett has an attorney. Online court records don't yet list the case.
