MOVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) -
Nearly three years after a small town grocery store opened up in Moville, Iowa the town's business officials say it's still going strong.
Chet's Moville Market filled a need after fire burned down the town's only grocery store in 2008.
The Community Development Corporation, which raised a quarter of a million dollars locally for the project, says the store's drawing customers from all over Woodbury County.
"There's a lot of areas that do not have stores around the surrounding rural areas at all. So, this has been a welcome addition to the rural area," explained Stee Maxwell, who heads up the Community Development Corporation.
The Woodbury County Supervisors also contributed $10,000 to the project.
