The Iowa Air National Guard says it is planning training missions over several Iowa communities in the next few days.
The 132nd Fighter Wing, based in Des Moines and 185th Air Refueling Wing from Sioux City will conduct flight training missions Thursday and Friday over Sioux City, Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Ames.
The units will operate over Iowa skies in order to provide realistic training for support of multi-faceted, overseas combat missions.
Aircraft including F-16 fighter jets and refueling tanker aircraft may be visible at lower altitudes and audible throughout the areas of operation.
