Estherville man charged after allegations he sexually assaulted 9-year-old

ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) -

An Estherville, Iowa man faces charges after police say he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl.

Estherville Police say they were called by the girls' mother after she says her daughter had been assaulted by a household member.

After an investigation, they arrested and charged 29-year-old Marvin Torres-Zavala for 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse.

He's being held in the Emmet County Jail on bond.

Torres-Zavala is also being held on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement
