SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Several Siouxland natives will be participating in the 2012 Olympics Games and another will be reporting from London.

Former Bishop Heelan and South Dakota State graduate Alex Lohr will be in London providing coverage of the Olympics for the web site flotrack, which covers track and field events.

It's Lohr's first Olympic Games.  He remembers a time when he dreamed of going to the Olympics.

"It's weird, I remember when they announced that London would host the Olympics, and in my brain I was like, OK, no matter what I'm going to find a way to go. Just kind of sarcastically to myself," Lohr said. "I think even my sister and I used to joke about how we're going to get to the Olympics some way. So, it's been about eight years of excitement for this to go down."

You can find and follow Lohr's stories at www.flotrack.org.
