UPDATE: Missing Sioux City inmate apprehended by US Marshals

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A man who escaped from a Sioux City Residential Correctional Center is back in custody. The Department of Corrections says 41-year-old David LeRoy Kreider was arrested by US Marshals around noon Tuesday.

Kreider was serving 20 years for several convictions, including willful injury, going armed with intent, and solicitation to commit a felony. He escaped from the facility Sunday night.

He is currently being held in the Woodbury County Jail.
