SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A residential area, which is long overdue for a face-lift, will finally see some changes.
John Street, between 6th and 14th Streets, will be under construction for about four months.
City engineers say the project will be done in three phases, creating "minimal inconvenience" for people who live there. The project will fix the pavement, and repair the storm drainage system above and below the road. "Things are going pretty well. We have a lot going on, and we're trying to cover all parts of the city and trying to accommodate resident's and business owner's needs," Eric Smith, Senior Civil Engineer said.
Smith says the construction is a routine procedure and should be done "on time" by the end of this year.
