CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) -

A South Dakota man has been arrested, accused of kidnapping and raping a runaway 13-year-old girl from Clear Lake in northern Iowa.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that 21-year-old Mensur Malik is being held in Minnehaha County Jail in Sioux Falls, S.D., where he was arrested at his home. She was there with him.
Sioux Falls officers say they think Malik drove to Clear Lake to pick up the girl. They suspect he met her online.
Clear Lake Police Chief Greg Peterson told the newspaper that his officers had a report about a runaway and discovered she might be in Sioux Falls.
Peterson says his officers had a phone conversation with Malik, through the girl, but he wouldn't bring her back.
