PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -
The son of South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard is being credited with saving the life of a man who choked on food in a Pierre restaurant.
La Minestra Manager Mark Mancuso tells the Capital Journal that Chris Daugaard used the Heimlich maneuver to clear the man's throat on Friday. Gov. Daugaard says he's proud of his son and glad that he was in the right place at the right time.
Twenty-five-year-old Chris Daugaard is an analyst for the state Public Utilities Commission.
