A tall glass of iced tea can hit the spot on a hot summer day. But, it doesn't have to have a lot of sugar if you want to sweeten it up a bit.
Whitney Packebush, a registered dietitian with Fareway Foods, offered up these recipes to try the next time it's tea time. They sweeten with natural antioxidants and plenty of flavor.
Makes 4 servings
Total time: 10 minutes + chilling time
Ingredients
½ cup fresh mint leaves
3 green tea bags
2 Tbsp. honey
4 cups boiling water
2 cups white wine (optional)
Directions
COMBINE mint leaves, tea bags, honey and boiling water. LET steep for 5 minutes; REMOVE tea bags. CHILL in refrigerator. DIVIDE among four ice-filled glasses. If desired, add ½ cup white wine to each glass. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.

4 cups cold water
Directions
STEEP tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes. REMOVE tea bags and POUR into a large pitcher. ADD pomegranate juice and cold water. REFRIGERATE until chilled. SERVE over ice. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.

2 cups cold water

STEEP tea bags and orange peel in boiling water for 5 minutes; REMOVE tea bags and peel. POUR into a large pitcher and ADD orange juice and sugar. STIR until sugar is dissolved. ADD cold water and REFRIGERATE until chilled. SERVE over ice. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
