SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A familiar children's book character made an appearance in Sioux City.
Clifford the Big Red Dog visited the Public Museum along with Iowa Public Television's Dan Wardell.
The stop was a part of a state tour by Iowa Public Television, promoting reading and active play for small children and families.
The museum's curator of education Theresa Weaver-Basye said events like this are now possible thanks to their new, larger facility.
"We have classrooms, we have temporary exhibit space, we have large open galleries that we can use for programming. We never could have envisioned doing this at our old facility," Weaver-Basye says.
The museum will also have a brand new exhibit for kids of all ages, a dino-excavation adventure, starting Friday in the temporary gallery.
