Motorcyclist killed in crash near Milford, Iowa

MILFORD, Iowa (KTIV) -

At the same time emergency crews in Dickinson County were responding to a drowning on West Lake Okoboji, they were also responding to the scene of a fatal accident east of Milford, Iowa.

Authorities say 29-year-old Mitchell Jesperson from Graettinger, Iowa was driving a motorcycle on county road A34 when a vehicle turned in front of him.

Jesperson struck the vehicle and died at the scene.

Authorities say the other driver, Susan Klassen of Arnolds Park, had been attempting to make a left turn onto 240th Avenue.

Klassen was taken to Lakes Regional Health Center with minor injuries.
