LONDON, England (KTIV) -

Two athletes will represent Siouxland in the men's pole vault competition at the London Olympics Wednesday.

Jeremy Scott is a 1999 graduate of Norfolk High School. He competed for the University of Arkansas and is the second-ranked vaulter in America. Injuries derailed his first two attempts to make the U.S. team in 2004 and 2008.

Derek Miles is also competing in the preliminary vaults Wednesday. Miles is an assistant track coach at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. This is his third time at the Olympics. He finished 7th at the 2004 Athens games and just missed the bronze four years ago in Beijing. Wednesday's qualifying round will air on KTIV and NBC starting at 12:15 Wednesday afternoon.
