New Children's Museum of Siouxland exhibit will teach kids more about the food process.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Most of us probably enjoy the occasional glass of milk, but sometimes we forget the work that goes into getting it.
What better way to teach kids about that process than have a model cow that you can milk? The new Children's Museum of Siouxland will have a life-sized cow in its 8,000 square foot interactive space.
It'll be a part of an exhibit focused on the food process, from the farm to the finished product.
"It's a fiber glass model with working utters that kids will be able to experience a little bit of farm life and start the conversation of how food gets from farm to their table," said Kari Kellen, Children's Museum of Siouxland Executive Director.
The museum is using a nine month capital campaign to raise $4.5 million for construction and exhibits of the museum.
Farm Credit Services of America is the sponsor for the exhibit piece.
