Ryan to campaign in Iowa next week

ASHLAND, V.A. (AP) -

The stage is set for a showdown in November.

Presumptive Republican Nominee Mitt Romney has picked Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate.

The two made their first campaign appearance together today in Ashland, Virginia.

Romney will soon send his new running mate on the road on his own to Iowa.

Aides say Ryan will be here Monday making his first solo stop in the state. Ryan is scheduled to be at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines.
