DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -
Wisconsin Representative and Mitt Romney's new Vice-Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan hit the campaign trail at the Iowa State fair Monday.
The Republican candidate told a crowd in Des Moines he and Romney want to change things around.
Fervent protesters did their best to interrupt the Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, shouting "stop the war on the poor," and "stop the war on the common good," but he stayed on track and on message.
"President Obama has given us four years of trillion dollar plus deficits," said Ryan. "He is making matters worse and he is spending our children into a diminished future. We don't have to stand for that, we're not going to stand for that and on November the 6th we're going to change that."
Romney's running mate heads to Colorado Tuesday to campaign in the state.
