LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) -
Some Siouxland seniors gathered for a day of "Sun 'N Fun" in Le Mars, Iowa.
Around 300 seniors played games, enjoyed wagon rides, and listened to speakers.
This year's theme was "Party 'Til the Cows Come Home" and some folks even line danced.
Siouxland Aging Services planned the activities and say this is a great event for seniors.
"We coordinate rides with the Siouxland Regional Transit buses to bring people from the five counties up. So for some of the people this is their own summer outing. A lot of people are just seeing new friends again or just trying something brand new," Chris Kuchta, the Director of Advocacy and Community Relations for Siouxland Aging Services said.
Participants could meet with informational vendors about different services just for seniors.
