A woman driving down Interstate 29 pulled over at a Valero gas station after her car started smoking Wednesday.

A car on fire at a Sioux City gas station alarmed some passing motorists Wednesday afternoon. According to Sioux City Fire officials, a woman driving down Interstate 29 pulled her car over after she noticed it started smoking . She drove into the Valero gas station at 301 South Floyd. Her car then burst into flames. Firefighters arrived quickly and were able to put out the flames. Newsspotters say they heard a loud noise and thought it was an explosion. The fire department says the car was not near the gas pumps, and it was likely a tire bursting.
