SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE (KTIV) -
Using technology to connect to each other is easier than ever and the state of Nebraska is joining in too.
The Nebraska Information Technology Commission meets four times a year to look at technology issues and how to integrate them in education, economic development, all levels of government and health care.
They continuously look at ways to expand services, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies.
Commission chair, Lieutenant Governor, Rick Sheehy says since Nebraska is a very large state geographically, it's important for citizens to be able to connect with the government online.
"There are more than 300 applications that people can interface with their state government rather than always having to drive to Lincoln and another community," Rick Sheehy, the Nebraska Lieutenant Governor said.
Those applications are available on the government website at Nebraska.gov.
